Better adjust the way of communication.
A frequent reader has forwarded some communication between the Foreign Ministry of the PRC in HK about the recent changes (stating that HK perm residents w foreign passports can obtain a 1 - 3 year multiple F-Visa by supplying original HK ID + copy) on their webpage regarding "CHINA VISA" requirements: Always good for a joke...........

Please refer the following info to get prepared if you need to apply for multiple F visa , 1. Valid passport (at least six months before expiration) with blank visa pages.
2. Completed Chinese visa application form, one passport color photograph taken in the last six months. False information or failing to complete the application form will cause rejection or delays of your application.
3 Visa Notification Form issued by authorized Foreign Affairs Office or Bureau of Commerce(original),;
4 A copy of Chinese hotel booking;
5 A copy of return flight ticket booking;
6. Hong Kong Permanent ID card (original and photocopy)
7. other supporting documentation, e.g. Registration Certificate of your company in China, etc Multiple-entry visa is issued at the discretion of the consular officers.
OOOPS - but the info on the webpage is somewhat different....here the follow up after asking why then this info on the webpage is saying different:
