Tax free means what ? Edited 19.08.15 - CHINA TOURISTS SMUGGLING LUXURY GOODS FROM EUROPE INTO CHINA

Being back from Europe - watching following at a DUTY FREE (Global Blue) counter:
Guy to the left got refunded EURO 1,700 - Lady in front of me got refunded EURO 4,700 - that means she has spent EURO 32,000 - nice trip - precious items bought.

So how can she import this into China ?

32,000 EURO equals to RMB 226,000.00 - how & when did that person earn it ?

With a now average annual salary of RMB 56,339.00 - how did she do it ? Spending more than 4 years salary on one trip ? And that woman was looking very humble dressed - rather shabby.
Did she save that much over how many years ? Or did she do "something else" ?

China customs regulation says following:
 3a. Residents: articles brought from overseas:
- residents: max. value of CNY 5,000.-.
- non-residents: max. value of CNY 2,000.- for articles remaining in China (People's Rep.).  

Just wonder if that lady declared that goods once she entered the mainland - because she is 45 times over the allowed limit - or does she have some "friends" at the customs ?

The guy next to her cashed in EURO 1,700 tax refund - that was EURO 12,000 spent on his trip equals to RMB 85,000.00 - surely the man was hard saving over the years - or do you think anything else where that money is coming from ?

Sex in passport: Female - passport holder is Male

Today a friend called me:
He said he was happily travelling with his new german passport since several months: 20+ trips to China & 2x China Visa application - 2x Visa for Indonesia - today SUDDENLY an immigration officer at some China border crossing told him: "There is something wrong with your passport - sex is called FEMALE" Ooooooops - better not ask me to further coment who is the stupid one here. At least for my friend it is now a lot  of trouble to get very fast a new correct passport saying MALE as he needs to travel to other places asap.

GERMAN CONSULATE IN HONG KONG: When I applied the passport for my boy somebody told me I have to bring the kid personally for the application - when I was going there with my kid the guy asked me: "Why do you bring the kid here ?" - I was told so my reply was. His reply: "Ohhhh that guy who told you was always telling everything wrong"......No further comment !
