Hi. Thanks for the possibility of reading news on the visa situation. but could you be a little more specific? you said it is over. but is it really? is it like it was before? can i get a multiple entrance F visa for half a year without any problems?

The Visa Man said...

okay - situation like following:
Hong Kong permanent residents (most probably also HK residents with ID card - means not finish the 7 years) can get def again a multiple F-Visa for at least 6 months. If you need a help with a travel agency can do this reliable (you only need passport, copy of HK ID card, passport photo + business card) send me your email and I will reply via my private email to you.

dear sir,
you siad chinese visa problem is over! but i am a bangladesh passport holder and resident in taiwan. would you inform me please can i apply chinese visa from macao?

The Visa Man said...

Hi Alex,

difficult question, I am not sure if you can apply China Visa in Macao. Why you do not try in TW directly as you are a resident there - maybe it is easier.
Maybe you check with your travel agent they should know exactly if you can apply in Macao or even in HK. if they say yes you better let them do the whole application.

there are some other countries that
can't apply visa in hk. so problem is over for some countries but other 33 countries are not over.

The Visa Man said...

Yes I also got the information right now that the list of the 33 countries is still held up. Means they need to apply in their home country - I will copy back this list to a new post - it is a pity that this is still restricted - but most probably China is so afraid of illegal business + "illegal immigrants" from this 33 country list.

I have a Canadian passport. I called some visa agents in Hong Kong to enquire about visas today (october 20th)

I can get a 6 month double entry visa now but NO multiple entry yet. I am not an HK resident.

So it seems things are getting better but this is not totally over. I could go apply for a 1-year multiple entry visa before all this trouble started.

My heart goes out to those on the 33 country list, friends of mine have been affected by this.

Hi Man from Canada - yes it is not very helpful for you to get a 6 months visa with 2 entries. It is a waste of the page in your passport - it seems all related to the US (as for the chinese CANADA is same as US) need to suffer a longer period to get the things done in a more convenient + efficient way. Any chance you are going home soon ? Maybe you have a chance to apply there without VISA NOTIFICTION LETTER for multiple entry .........

Hello,i'm from Malaysia and not HK resident. i've
been affected by this.My wife is Chinesse. When I wanted to apply visathrough CTS in HK,They said they could only gave me 15 days stay ,but When I showed my marriage certificate, they told me"in your situation you'd better go directly to China embassy(foreign affair)in wanchai".When I applied there, they only gave
me 2 month double entry(each stay 30days).I wish I could get 6 month double entry visa. I think it's unfair fo me.

Hi to you from Malaysia !
When you married to a MAINLAND chinese there must be much better ways then apply for a visa. But this depends on your wife status in CHINA. Better check what other possibilities you have. Otherwise as Malaysia is not too far away - why not go home visit your family and then apply in Malaysia - maybe more efficient. If this is FAIR or NOT FAIR - I will hold back with my real and honest opinion. But so far it is surele NOT FAIR

It seems that Canadians in Canada can now get multiple-entry one year F visas, with only a letter from a Canadian company.
The Toronto consulate website or telephone message still had the old Olympic-period information listed however. (The Washington embassy website was more up to date)
Good news!

Hi Lisa - yes that sounds quite good for you there in Canada ...that the embassy / consulate infos often not up-to-date is unfortunately one of the problems generally chinese administration still does not know how to handle: Because they don't care and they have not really the idea about the meaning of "service".
