SIGNIFICANT CHANGE ....

on the web page of the "Foreign Ministry of the Peoples Republic of China in the HK SAR".
http://www.fmcoprc.gov.hk/eng/zgqz/qtxx/
This clause has been "deleted" a few months ago and here it is again - so better go immediately and find out yourself if this is working - here is the new "old" clause:
1. Foreigners with Hong Kong permanent resident status
(1) Foreigners with Hong Kong permanent resident status can apply for "L" or "F" multiple visa valid for one to three years by providing personal Hong Kong Permanent Identification Card, as well as a copy of the said ID card.

On Tue 9 Sept. I checked with my Travel Agent at East Ocean Ctr in Granville Rd who has been handling my China visa applications for the past 8 years. He stated that there was no reinstatement of multiple visas and the expected date for reinstatement was still 17 Oct 08. This was confirmed by visiting CTS at HK China City in Canton Rd

yes we need to be a little bit patient - after all it doesn't matter anymore. But things are moving - I have a source telling that the Oct 17th is a very last deadline .....some "improvements" maybe happen earlier .....
