SOME MORE "CHINA VISA NEWS"

China to Issue One Year Multi-Entry Business Visa "After the October National Holiday”
Sept. 12 - Sources close to China’s Public Security Bureau have told Dezan Shira & Associates that China will relax its current strict visa issuance policies for business visas following the national holiday in October.
Beginning in the second week of October, China will start issuing one year multi-entry F visas, making it far more convenient for those traveling to China on business to enter the country. The new measures will assist with the various trade shows, such as the Canton Trade Fair, that China traditionally holds during the Autumn.
This new policy will redress the restrictions on visa issuance that were put in place prior to the Olympics, and will come as welcome news to China-bound business people visiting the country.

that still falls far short of the requirements of Hong Kong based non-Chinese that make frequent visits to Shenzhen.
It still gives an unfair advantage to Chinese residents of HK who have unfettered access thanks to the home return permit.
Such practices therefore remain discriminatory

Yes it is right. Long time issue - why foreign passport holders with perm HK ID (+ married to HK or Chinese spouse + having children w 2 passports + home return card)cannot enjoy the same privilege ?
This is one of the issues our beloved HK SAR should work on - maybe a task for some of the recently newly appointed "under assistents" ? Maybe they should try their breast to do something on this.........................

How about for citizens of other countries? I am supposed to have my management trainee in China, but due to the visa restrictions, this is not possible. Is the new policy gonna be effective for me as well?

To Anon; As Indonesia was on the list of the 33 countries need to apply china visa in their home-country, it is not sure if this rule also will dissappear after October 16th. But if you in HK you just double-check with one of the travel agencies for China Visa. They should know this already now.
