I know of many foreigners who reside in China but work in Hong Kong. Their futures look bleak in view of possible job losses. It's a matter of sacrificing the family or work. Which would you choose? How can anyone say that these restrictions are Understandable

What a pity - China is "working hard" on ruining their Image + reputation. Are all the "foreigners" not welcome anymore suddenly? Also what a harm to Hong Kong and all the Pearl River Delta business. Any takers here in HK to say something ? Mr. Donald Tsang - did you hear the bell ringing ?

The rumor yesterday was that previous F Visas will not be valid anymore. A friend is going through Beijing Apt today with an F visa so we'll know.

My travel agent did not inform the embassy about my date of entering China but the date was clearly written on the application form and the accompanying hotel reservation and airline tickets. I was given a arbitrary date to enter and is 1 week before my proposed date of arrival. Looks like the staff at the embassy couldn't be bothered to check the date stated in the form and other documents. So I went to the embassy to rectify the problem but was rejected because the staff said the mistake was with the travel agent! Imagine the responsibility to check was pushed to the travel agent! Now, I have to reapply and pay another round of fee. So visitors be extra careful when you next apply for a China visa.
